When you are leading a business, it can be easy to get caught in the details and fail to step back every now and then to ask some important questions. Here are a few questions you might ask yourself:

  • Are you running (tactical) your company – or leading (strategy) your company?
  • How is the life you are living different from the one you want to be leading?
  • What is bringing you 80% of your stress? What is bringing you 80% of your joy?
  • Are you appreciating or depreciating as a leader? What would your employees say?
  • Backing out compensation, why would someone want to work at your company?

These are just a few of the types of questions I might suggest you yourself to gain perspective and clarity on what you do every day and what you should be doing.
